dyce amateur swimming club
Dyce Amateur Swimming Club
Dyce was founded in 1977. It is a small community swimming club in Aberdeen and has a great history. The club has produced some very good swimmers over the years. We are led by a head coach and an excellent coaching team with a wealth of experience of swimming at the top level within Scottish Swimming. The key aims of the coaches are to correct swimmers technique and push them to be the best they can be.
The club has around 80 swimmers in its junior squads and has swimmers feeding in regularly from the swimming lessons at various locations throughout the city. We create a very enjoyable atmosphere for all swimmers of different abilities. We currently have swimmers ranging from 8 to 20 years old across 3 squads, each with its own dedicated coach. We also have a Masters squad for ex competitive swimmers or those over 16 who wish to keep fit but no longer are able to commit to as many training sessions or compete. Our training sessions are held at Aberdeen Aquatics Centre (all weekday evenings).
Dyce ASC is one of six constitute clubs in Aberdeen City to feed the into the University of Aberdeen (UoA) talented athlete program. We currently have a number of swimmers attending these sessions and they are all held at Aberdeen Aquatics Centre at the Sports Village.
If you are interested in joining us, please contact our membership secretary - dyceascmemberships@hotmail.com to arrange a trial or come along to one of our training sessions to watch.
